Prosciutto Provolone Fig Grilled Cheese

 

8 slices sourdough bread

4 tbsp butter, softened

Mrs. Miller's Homemade Fig Jam

16 slices provolone cheese

16 slices prosciutto (approx 1/2 lb)

4 oz blue cheese crumbles

1/2 cup fresh arugula

 

1. Butter each piece of sourdough bread on one side 

2. Spread fig jam on the other side of the sourdough bread

3. On four of the slices of bread, place 2 slices provolone cheese, then 2 slices of prosciutto, a few blue cheese crumbles, and some arugula, then top with 2 more slices of prosciutto and 2 slices provolone cheese

4. Sandwich the other pieces of bread on top with the fig jam facing down

5. Place on a large skillet for a few minutes per side until the cheese is melted and the bread is crispy brown on the outside
