June has come and gone, which means that the Strawberry season has just wrapped up for another year.  Every summer this beautiful, delicious fruit makes its presence known in gardens and farms all over the country.  As the first of these wonderful plants makes their initial harvest available, we enjoy picking the flavorful berries and consuming them right there in the garden.  But as more and more and more of them continue popping out, we start thinking, "how can I preserve this delicious, vibrant strawberry for the entire year?"  Fortunately here at Mrs. Miller's Homemade Jams, preserving is what we do.  Pails and pails of these perfectly ripened strawberries are brought in and prepared for canning.  The strawberries are sliced, cane sugar and a dash of lemon juice is added, and cooked into a wonderful homemade strawberry jam.  The jam is hand scooped into glass jars, labeled, and ready to be enjoyed for the entire year.  The process is simple, but the result is tremendous!  Mrs. Miller's produces almost 70 flavors, but few of them are as traditional and synonymous with home canning as Strawberry Jam.  We invite you to enjoy our delicious homemade strawberry jam on you next morning biscuit or on your next scoop of ice cream.
